Mental Health Monologues

Mental Health Monologues

Research workshops with Sunshine House’s Health & Wellbeing Group on the subject of mental health led to the creation of four monologues, performed by local actors. These covered the topics of depression & anxiety, young people’s mental health, borderline personality disorder and dementia. Funded by Inspiring Healthy Lifestyle’s ‘Creative Pulse’ programme under the title of ‘Performing Arteries’.
Cast included: Kathleen O’Leary, Maggie Hall, David Hodgkinson and Martin Green.

“Green Room Creative’s monologues were just something different altogether – something that I can say proudly that I had a tiny input into. Martin's use of drama and character study helped to prompt various discussions around mental health issues, including the four main themes in the monologues. I am sure that this work will benefit many people around the borough. A fantastic event all round”
Michael Bentley, Health & Wellbeing Group
