Dementia Friendly Communities

A programme of 2 theatre projects in Wigan & Leigh, funded by the Arts Council:
Dementia Awareness scenarios and a workshop using actors in role play – suitable for general public, school pupils and customer-facing staff being able to recognise and identify specific needs and help that can be given to people diagnosed with dementia in community settings. This work was developed as part of Wigan’s Dementia Friendly Communities programme since 2014.

“Great interactive workshop that helped raise awareness. I will be using these examples with our team”
Beth Baker, Barclays Bank

We provide actors who can entertain children ‘in character’, using storytelling and reading for any age group. This might be appropriate for parties or special events in libraries / schools when celebrating a theme or seasonal occasion!
